The Helicopter That Bridged Korea and Vietnam
July 1 @ 8:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Date/Time: July 1, 2026. 7 p.m. Central
Long before the Huey became an icon, we had the Hiller UH-12.
Known to the U.S. military as the OH-23 Raven, it helped demonstrate the value of helicopters in military service. From observation and training missions to search-and-rescue and medical evacuation, the OH-23 served in both the Korean War and the Vietnam War and played a key role in the evolution of rotary-wing aviation.
In this episode of CAF Warbird Tube, we sit down with Nick Infantino to discuss the CAF New England Wing’s newly assigned Hiller UH-12A. Learn about the helicopter’s history, its military service, and the Unit’s plans to preserve and share this rare aircraft with the public.
